We were gone for 26 days, traveled 6,440 miles, drove for 108 hours, visited 17 states, 10 national parks/monuments/battlefields, 1 state park and 14 museums! Harold's working career started with his first job out of college at Allison, division of General Motors working on the engine for a C-130. The last museum we visited was the USAF museum in Dayton Ohio, and out there on the tarmac was a C-130 plane with the Allison engine!

About Author
I married Harold right after I graduated college-June of 1968. I was a math major and he was a mechanical engineer. We met in the Tufts University band. We both love car trips so this trip was a perfect choice for a retirement adventure!
