Samantha Laux is a young enthusiastic children’s author. In 2006, Sam discovered she was born with a neurological condition that has rendered her deaf, legally blind and bound to a wheelchair. This has not deterred Sam from her dreams. Sam graduated from Clear Fork High school in 2007 and attended Wright State University.
Samantha is creative and uses her talents to write inspirational children’s books. She lives on a farm in Ohio with her family and many of the animal characters from her books.
Samantha’s goal is to create fun and educational non-fiction children literature. First in the Working Animal Series, is It’s a Dog’s Job, a story about her service dog, Dylan. The second in the series is Missy, the Domestic Diva about a chicken that works at a bird sanctuary. This book, “Working Side-by-Side” is the third book of this series. Sam has a second series, See Me Through Your Heart, that uses animal characters to teach children about accepting individuals with disabilities.
