You will not open these pages and find anything you didn't already know, but you will be reminded of simple times with simple ingredients. Classic dishes such as Graneice's BBQ pork ribs, MaMa Clores pound cake. RD's Bar-Que, and Virginia's southern devil eggs. The most important thing about these dishes that you must remember is to make them for others and make them with love!

Denise was born in Frankfurt, Germany to a long line of meat and potato cooks. She was raised in the United States and loved to experiment as a 9 year old. One of the first soups she made was a corn chowder and no bake cookie. She developed a certain knack for understanding the aromas of multi-cultural foods and how to put them together. She watched her Grandmother MeMe, Aunt JoAnne, MaMa Clore, Mother Irene, and her step Mother Helen Douglas in the kitchen. In fact anytime she could watch someone cook she did, and from there she used basic receipts to develop her own dishes, adding her own flare, and even making some dishes up from what she learned from all the cooking icons in her life. If you cook and enjoy it, then you probably do the exact same thing.
