Horatio Mustachio was born a little different. His parents worried that he would be bullied for his looks, but Horatio was always confident in his appearance. It was because of his confidence that he was accepted and celebrated for being special.

John Rechel graduated from Bloomsburg University. He has been teaching in Pennsylvania for over 20 years. John is married to his wife, Alexa, and they have twins, Sarah and J.J. Horatio Mustachio is his first children's book. He wrote it as a bedtime story after his children were born. It quickly became one of their favorites.
