"In My Own Words" was inspired by a challenge which motivated me to spend time alone with myself and my thoughts, and to put those thoughts onto paper. By doing so, I began to unlock emotional doors that I'd kept locked and closed off for years. It placed me on the path of finding my voice again, and rediscovering me. It's my intent for the readers to experience this self awakening for themselves.

I've always had a passion for writing since my early child hood. I loved writing short stories and poetry. After raising my children and retiring from a 32 year career in fire services. I've decided to put pen to paper and
