This story, Unwanted Pets, expounds the importance of cleanliness and personal hygiene needed for young learners, growing children as well as all family members. It is also enlightening to the public - the roles of parents and children as well. It helps us realize that a child like Jose, however obedient, kind and good he is, he has also doubts, weakness and unpredictable response of what is being taught to him. And it instil us that every mistake leads to a negative result.
Unwanted Pets is a perfect metaphor of germs. Germs as parasites can easily grow and multiply into the body. They are unnoticed. They can only be detected until one gets sick or harmed.
Jose's story is an eye-opener not only for young ones but also for parents who sometimes neglect their kids because of being busy in their works. This story is a great reminder. It is a must-read book.
