About the Book

Lucy is a young Jewish girl born in the 1930's in Berlin. With her mother, siblings and grandmother in Besling concentration camp and her father in hiding. Lucy finds herself alone, caught up in the chaos of the Nazi regime forced to steal food and travel daily to find new shelter.

Captured and taken to Auschwitz, Lucy befriends a young, handsome boy, who is much closer to Lucy than she thinks. Lucy trys to stay strong but watching her friends disappear day after day she begins to lose hope. Creating stories and dreams to take their minds off the horrors outside their cells.

Then one day they come for her.
