History can be fascinating; especially when we put into perspective that our very existence is the result of the historical events from generations past. I am an American, born and raised. Yet I know my ancestors, like many other families sailed the seas in harsh conditions for months to make a new life and live what we call The American dream. During my quest to trace the history of my ancestors I learned my ancestors came to American from England and Scotland. What make this story fascinating are the historical events unfolding around them as they made their journey.
