This book gives instructions and information pertaining to Neonatal Nursing at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS.
New nurses are trained by a Preceptor to acquire skills to care for the infants that are delivered. Orientees will be trained extensively in both Well-baby and NICU units for at least six months.
As skills are learned, developed and mastered, this book will be on standby as a reference.
Orientees are encouraged to write notes and other information that relate to procedures, skills and competencies that are necessary for patient care.
The skills and competencies will provide safety and quality of care, improve workflow, increase productivity, build on quality and promote continuous improvement in the Neonatal Units as TEAMWORK develops.
With improved workflow and TEAMWORK, our Baby Friendly Designation will be "State of the Art".
