About Author
I’m Kery Karas, a 60-year-old photographer based in North Texas, where I call home. Influenced by Ansel Adams at a young age, my photographic journey has evolved from using disposable cameras to shooting with Pentax film and Nikon digital SLRs equipped with various zoom lenses.
I’ve explored the stunning landscapes of Yellowstone, Denali, and Acadia National Parks, capturing wildlife, towering mountains, and dramatic waterfalls. My adventures also span the Sierra Nevada, the Oregon coast, and the vibrant scenes of Arizona and Taos, New Mexico.
Now, I’m focusing on uncovering the hidden gems and everyday beauty of North Texas. Each image in this photobook reflects the unique character and charm of this region.
