Floyd lives in Columbia, Alaska, home of the popular local site, Starry Mountain.
Floyd is staying with her father, an active hiker, in a cabin along the mountain range. She's taken a job at a souvenir shop where she stands behind a cash register, checking out customers while she rants information about the Starry Mountain, her life's work of research and passion.
One day, one of her father's new hiking companions walks into her shop. Welcoming the newcomer, she finds an opportunity to finally get the privilege of climbing Starry Mountain, alongside this stranger.
There she finds out her father's protectiveness over her may not seem as irrational as she'd once thought, and more dangerous then she could've ever imagined on Starry Mountain. All she has is this stranger, who she relies on with her life.

Hey Hun, I'm bean. :)
My passion is writing (reading being my hobby). It's been like that practically all of my life, ever since a resolution back in my 3rd grade year. It's a sweet story, I suppose, but I'm going to try to avoid ranting.
I hope one day I'll be successful in publishing one of my many stories I'm always working on and redrafting like crazy (don't we all?), when I eventually find the story I really want to get published and out there first.
