About Author
Colin Kessler teaches 7th and 8th grade English and History at Butteville Elementary School in Edgewood, CA. During the 2019-2020 school year, he had a total of 43 students. When the coronavirus pandemic arrived and forced schools to close, Mr. Kessler adapted his teaching practice to an online format. One of the first assignments he created was for the students to keep a daily "pandemic journal." He also assigned them to answer a weekly "resilience question."
