The summer in Johnstown, Pennsylvania in 1956 changed my life irrevocably, partly for the better, partly for the worse. Attempting to balance that out over the years has taken its toll on relationships with family and friends.

Only going to the tenth grade in high school and then at sixteen leaving to marry (in 1958) a seventeen-year-old guy who quit school in the eleventh grade to join the Army, but finally earning a Masters Degree in Library and Information Science in 2000, here is finally the second book, 2019 (the first one, "THE Weekend" is written but still needs more work, so this is effectively my first book.)
My lifetime goal has been to write and see my published books line shelves in bookcases like volumes of the 'old-time' encyclopedias. Many more to come, hopefully.
Being married and divorced a few times, having four children, five grandchildren, and one great-grandson, so far, and losing two adult daughters and one grandson-in-law plus outliving three ex-husbands has made me much more conscious of how precious and short life can be and has taught me to appreciate the family and friends I have now.
