About the Book

The title "Thaii Vs. Soul Food" came from my love for Thai and Soul food.
I got the idea to put both of this cuisines together because both have similar ingredients.
The flavors of both cuisines mary together so smooth and fine which makes them a perfect match.Recipes that i have writtten are very simply, easy and delicious dishes.
There Are eight catorgies you can look at and enjoy cooking from one of them.
Hope you enjoy my book there will been more to come.

My names Amarr Anthony Reid im 20 yrs old i was born and raised in Boston ma then shortly moved to brockton ma where i started my athletic career.
In sixth grade i was diagnose with a disease that messed with my growth.
I had to get surgery to get a pin put in my right hip.
Which left me home on the couch then i found the food network which inspired me to begin my quest to be come a chef.
I been cooking since i was 8 years old beside my grandmother Donessa Rock who's from Barbados who has been my support till this day. when i was 4 months my grandmother took me in her home.
My parent were messing with the wrong crowds my mom was on drugs and my dad ended up in prison.
Using this negative points in my life a positive points.
I began my journey in at east jr high in brockton ma attending cooking classes then made my way to brockton high school
and meet my mentor and instructor Melissa McLaughlin and Valerie Bennett.
My junior year A Team Of 3 students And I enter a pro start invitational culinary competition it was alot of work we finished in 4th place it was an awesome experience.
Person that took a big role in my journey was my Principal Dr. Susan Szachowicz she kept the flame going in my heart when i wanted to call it quits.
After high school i attend the new England culinary institute I made it to my second year didn't finish.
Im not a quitter tho im apply for school in the spring at the Art Institute of Tampa.
for all those young cooks out there remember this quote
"If You Can Imagine It, You Can Dream It, Dream It And You Can Become It"
