As soon as she learned to print, Barbara wrote her first book titled, Herbert, A Good Ghost . It took a year to complete and was totally illustrated. Her mother kept it for whatever reasons mothers do things like that, and it is yet unpublished. For the last 25 years the majority of Barbara's writing has appeared in advertisements. She hopes to change that in the next 25 years.
