The Boy in Blue is a YA novella set at the Old Stone Barracks, an historically important building on Plattsburgh Air Force Base in Plattsburgh, NY. In the summer of 1969, ten-year-old Claire Sweeney thinks she has just met a ghost there, an older boy dressed in the Civil War uniform of the Union Army, who claims to have died from his battle wounds in 1862. How can this even be happening? And what does this mysterious, spectral soldier form the past want from Claire?
This is a short work of fiction about the power of faith and of prayer, and about a merciful God who exists out of time and is not bound by its limits. (Targeted at readers of middle school age and up.)
