The girl gets hysterical and mental while performing and beaten with a whip. Some children enter the circus tent secretly to see Romano's performing star. They see her in the cage asleep and she gets woken up by one of the children who gets poked with a stick. Later the girl escapes and the Tennessee men have to gather a search party including police people. A family discovers how stupid Romano's show is and Felix comes in the garage to put his bike away then sees the performer in there. He realizes the performer isn't what Romano said, just muted, and mentally ill and tortured. He realises the performer's name is Sophie Samuels. The family sees Sophie in the garage and Felix explains that she's mute and she acts crazy because of being in a cage and being tied up. A guy who works for his dad Nick Dodgers decides to keep the girl and pamper her up and at night Sophie goes into a meltdown, then a doctor has to be involved and the doctor tells them it was a condition of epilepsy that caused her to be mental. Romano's searching out of town for the girl. Then he finds out the girl his staying with Nick and tells him he wants the girl back.
