Description

A Genealogical Study of the first three generations of Dr. Isidor Welte, born in Switzerland in 1824 - died in Miami County, Indiana, USA in 1897 and of his wife, Addie Young, born in Western Canada about 1847 and died, tragically, in Indiana, USA in 1891. They had three children: Florus Corvin, Sarah L. and Arthur Hudson Welte and eight grandchildren.

This book is the result of many years of research by the author and includes copies of civil war documents, marriage licenses, death certificates, family photographs, news clippings and quotes from books in which Isidor Welte was published.



It also contains copies of letters handwritten by Dr. Isidor Welte given in a deposition to the State of Indiana for a Civil War widow's pension case.

The author has included hew own personal notes and observations made during her years of research on this family lines as well as notes and letters received from outside sources and genealogists researching different Welte or other family lines.

Born in British Columbia, Canada, Dianna L. (Carlson) Welte married into the Welte family in 2004 and has been researching the Isidor Welte family line since that time.
