About the Book

This book analyzes the way in which medical improvements for the Allied powers during World War I played a major role in their eventual victory.

With the introduction of new weapons on the battlefield, the Allies watched their casualty rates rise to unprecedented levels. As the war dragged on with more and more soldiers being incapacitated from battlefield injuries and diseases, medical professionals began focusing on how they could return the wounded to the front lines in the most effective way possible.

Those interested in the history of World War I will appreciate the comprehensive analysis in this book, and come away with a new perspective relative to how the Allied Powers achieved victory in the Great War.

Mike Noyes is the author of The Importance of Medical Improvements for the Allied Powers During World War I, which was written while he was completing his graduate degree from Southern New Hampshire University. He has always had a great interest in military history, focusing specifically on World War I and World War II. Aside from this, he currently spends his time teaching 6th grade Humanities in Plymouth, MA. While some people may forget, Mike is also a four-time CYBL champion, winning three championships as a player and one as a coach. Some have claimed that this makes him the winningest player/coach in Chelmsford Youth Basketball history, but he remains humble.
