Over 250 years of the first Catholic cathedral in Russia: decreed and built by Catherine the Great, sponsored by Pavel I, and finally shut down by the Soviet authorities in 1938. Ruined and dilapidated by time, the war, neglect, fire, it was finally returned to the Catholic Church in 1992 and restored.
