I am a descendant of Thomas (Sayer) Sawyer of North Carolina, William Gillean of Northern Ireland and all who follow their lines through Daniel Sawyer, Mark Miller, William Gregory, John Gillean, Joel Henry Dyer, Jesse Shelton, my grandparents, M.V. and Tishie Shelton Sawyer, and my father, Martin A. Sawyer.
