About the Book

Right before the disappearance author Steven M. Folks Jr. there was one final story found sitting on the desk of his now empty house. This is that story. Not much is known of it, such as it's inspiration, it's validity as fiction, or even it's intended title, the only facts about it were found in the form of a note to the publisher sitting beside it. It told of how this story was intended to be the first in a book of short stories and that more would come in the future. For obvious reasons, they didn't; but, never-the-less, here is the surviving story presented exactly as found.

Steven M. Folks Jr. was always a strange man. Preferring, the company of himself to that of others, he left us with no family to speak of. His stories have often been sighted as laying the ground work for modern transgressive fiction. Folks Jr. wrote up until the age of 33 when he mysteriously disappeared and left us with one final short story. His uncertain demise has prompted much speculation, and even an entire society of fans devoted to finding him.
