In 2003, Grandpa and I began a wonderful journey. We received a calling as Welfare Agents in the Auckland New Zealand Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. What an unbelievable adventure that was as we were able to visit over twenty-five islands, take seventy-six flights and meet the wonderful people of the South Pacific Islands. While on this journey, we were away from our sweet grandchildren. Missing them, I wrote a story from most of the islands we visited. These stories are, mostly about the sea life and wildlife we encountered or heard of on each island. I loved writing my stories and I hope my special grandchildren enjoy reading them and sharing them with their future children and grandchildren.
Grandpa loved this scripture:
"...for the Lord has made the sea our path and we are upon an isle of the sea."

Grandma, Linda Scott Sheen, was born in Pomona, California. She grew up on the California Desert. She attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah and was a school teacher and librarian. She married Gordon Sheen, a Canadian, in 1964. They raised 3 children, Wendy, Tammy, and Scott, in Raymond, Alberta, Canada. In 2005 Gordon passed away. Linda now lives in Tehachapi, California with her son's family.
