Sean Lawlor Nelson's new book, is in containing freely mixed genres, similar to those that came before, such as "An Ode to Id," "Weird Voyage Loveward," and "The Silicon Stone Age."
However, in being weighted toward poetry, it's more like his early books... and is less bohemian in theme than any previous book, though some may still see it as bohemian.
Highlights include the poems: "will to paper," "my muse the monster," "ode to Africa," "bad sick haiku set," and "scabies mites (the war goes on.)" Other pieces include "high school stories from a small Oregon city," "Humanity's Future in Space," and "a few green thoughts," observations on evolutionary biology and environmental questions.

Sean Lawlor Nelson was raised in the small former logging city of Klamath Falls, Oregon... a place rich in multi-culturalism itself(blacks, hispanics, and local Indian tribes) but not always a liberal appreciation of it. Still a teen, Nelson got his start as a columnist for the city newspaper. He went on to earn his B.A. in English from Southern Oregon University.
After this, he taught English in agricultural Thailand for a while, and then went on to other diverse experiences. Today, Nelson lives in Klamath Falls, Oregon, and is the proud father of a five-year old son.
