Sean Lawlor Nelson was raised in the small former logging city of Klamath Falls, Oregon... a place rich in multi-culturalism itself(blacks, hispanics, and local Indian tribes) but not always a liberal appreciation of it. Still a teen, Nelson got his start as a columnist for the city newspaper. He went on to earn his B.A. in English from Southern Oregon University.

After this, he taught English in agricultural Thailand for a while, and then went on to other diverse experiences. Today, Nelson lives in Klamath Falls, Oregon, and is the proud father of a five-year old son.
