Spensa was in a tragic car accident involving her brother dying and Spensa in a coma. Spensa's mom and sister raced to the hospital a little too fast ending with a freak accident. A nurse made a horrible mistake and told Spensa's dad that both she and her brother had died. Spensa wakes to find herself alone in the world. Throughout her struggles, she still finds a place in her heart to love.
