For twelve-year old Evelyn Andrews, hope was all she had. With a cold hearted aunt who treated her as a servent had sent her away to an orphanage. To where she had to cope with the unknown. However she found friends in Fiona, Jenny and Westley and her gifts eased the hearts of those around her.

But when a fire burns the orphange. All the orphanges were taken to other orphanges.

Evelyn and Fiona were taken to a horrible place where Evelyn was punished and trapped in a dark room. With hope still in her heart she escapes, taking Fiona with her.

There Evelyn and Fiona flee for their lives and enter the only place Evelyn has ever known. The opera house of New York. There an old friend of her parents discovers her. Mr. Daniel Ramsey. The question is ,can Evelyn find hope in the heart of this man who had taken her under his wing.
