Life began innocently for the child born into a family who seemed to have everything: position, class, possessions, money. Her life was wonderful! Then where did it go wrong? They attended church regularly; she knew Jesus and believed in Him. How did it all happen? Was it when she agreed to let a lonely Marine spend the night with her before being shipped over to Viet Nam? They were friends and she knew she was "safe" with him.
Once the "downhill slide" began, the momentum wouldn't stop. Her self-worth vanished and along with it her morals. Life wasn't worth living anymore, but could she end her life? Where was God all this time? Did He no longer love her?
But God hadn't given up on her. He was moving her in the direction she needed to go in order to be saved. Was that possible with all she had done? This is the story of that journey through the darkness and into the Light.

Terri is retired and lives with her husband, John, in Bella Vista, Arkansas. They both are active in the United Methodist Church where they are members. Terri and a friend began a caring ministry called, Compassionate Disciples. They visit or call the lonely, sick, grieving, or hospitalized members of their church and their neighborhood. The ministry sends cards and takes baked goods to those in need as well. Terri believes this is one way she can serve her Lord and thank Him for what He has done in her life.
