Poetry is a choice of words in a structure that creates a series of motions. In simple sense, poetry is Words in Motion. It is a union of rhythm, rhyme, onomatopoeia, alliteration and assonance, among other figures of speech. It is a fusion and merging of sound, tone, and motion reverberating to a lilting and melodious expression. Poetry is an art in motion, swaying, and dancing to musical measurement and pattern.

This book is aptly titled Words In Motion since the same title is being used in the challenge that Ms. Tess Ritumalta, the group`s Founder, conducts in the group Poetry Planet. This particular challenge is one of the longest-running challenge in the group, making it popular and well participated by members.
