Children read about World War II, but seldom experience it. Our fifth grade students studied the events of the war from the bombing of Pearl Harbor to the creation of the United Nations. In their study, the students discovered the need for tolerance, diversity, and love throughout the world.

Students of Eastside Elementary School fifth grade wanted to do something to teach others about World War II and its aftermath. So, the project was born. The events and people of the war told from eleven year olds' eyes.
