About the Book

This is a story about my life, with details from my childhood and adult experiences. Various situations can go on in a person's life to make them feel ugly; inside and out. However, inspite all that I have been through, when Jesus Christ came into my life, His blood washed me, His word cleansed me, praise & worship and prayer sustained me, and I found out that He created and made me beautiful. In the book of Psalms, God's word says, "He will beautify the meek with salvation." Another scripture says that I am fearfully and wonderfully made.

Hello, my name is Melinda Thompson. I am fifty years old, a mother of eight children: Cecil, Trolous, Johnathan, David, Shannon, Brandee, Charity, and Quinntell. I also have sixteen grandchildren and three daughters-in-law. This is my family, whom I love dearly.

My home is in Dillon, SC. I am an Evangelist at the ministry where I attend, the Youth President of the youth department, dance instructor, and also a Sunday school teacher. I also write music and have recorded two CD’s: the first one has these titles on it, Every Hour and the Wedding Song, and the second one has these titles, Cancer You Shall Not Win, Sweet Anointing, Jesus is Knocking, Resurrection Day, and the Happiest Time of My Life. When you listen to my songs, I pray they bless you.

Not only do I write songs, I write plays, and I am the founder of C.O.P. (Children of Promise) praise team production. My dance team performs at the Dillon Theatre every two months. My goal is to reach young people, to let them know that they can have a good time in the Lord. Jesus said in John 10:10, paraphrasing, that He came that we might have life and that we might have it more abundantly! God wants us to enjoy life on this earth! Our dream is that one day we will be invited to the White House to Dance for the president and Oprah Winfrey.
