Judy Garrett Busbey grew up in North Alabama in a little community outside of Arab. She attended middle school at a small schoolhouse in Ruth and graduated from Arab High School.

She has told numerous stories from her younger years that involved leaving school early to attend funerals, playing softball with Mr. King pitching, giving thorny shots to schoolmates and sending home the dress of a young girl wrapped around a piece of cardboard. We love all of her stories and wanted to save atleast one of them.
