About Me
|
Growing up in the 50's was a delightful and innocent time period for me. While the rest of the world experienced the tribulations of inequality and racism I was shielded by my parents love. The second youngest of eight kids, life shared its ups and down with my family but we managed to have more good times than not.
My older brothers and sisters had the overwhelming task of watching over me, therefore I became a constant thorn in their side always tagging along and waiting with anticipation to get home and tell my parents everything I did with my siblings be it good or devious.
We traveled quite a bit back and forth to Kentucky and Tennessee, where my parents were born and raised.
Our family reunions between both families were big traditions that still exist today.
My parents were a loving and caring couple who adored being with family, both immediate and extended. They especially enjoyed each other. Life was good. Today I am blessed with 3 beautiful children and 6 grandkids.
