Diane Wiggins, an elementary teacher and environmental education student, was born and raised in Graves County, Kentucky. She earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees, and post-graduate credit from Murray State University in Murray, Kentucky. She wrote this book as a class project turned personal history reflection. Walking through the woods at Kentucky and Tennessee’s shared Land Between the Lakes reminded Diane of time spent in the woods on the farm of her childhood home.
