The Red Jackrabbits, a creative group of third and fifth graders in the Spring 2009 Horse and Reader program, were sponsored by the Owens Valley Career Development Center and assisted by J-Bar Ranch Center for Experiential Learning staff in writing this book. Sami-Jo, Olivia and Mathew brainstormed, wrote and illustrated portions of this text, combining their vivid imaginations and considerable artistic ability with the actual events of the program .
