When I got married my cooking consisted of putting a Swanson Chicken Pot Pie in the Oven or eating out. Both of my grandmother's and my own mother were great cooks, however since my mother had 5 children and also worked outside the home we were mostly used as the cleanup squad. When I became an adult I had a high stress job in Management at Bellsouth and traveled so I did not have time to cook. When my only child Brandy was 5, I got to stay home and started watching cooking shows and that began my love of cooking.
