Kim Wells resides in Boiling Springs SC and has been in the classroom for 15 years, working at Boiling Springs Junior High School for 3 years prior. After 20 years in finance and insurance sales, Kim changed careers when her children entered middle school. She earned her BA degree in 2002, Gifted and Talented Endorsement, and M. Ed from Converse College in 2006, served as teacher-leader for Spartanburg Writing Project, participated in curriculum revision groups multiple years, including 2012 when SC ELA standards transitioned from skills-based design and served as Jr. Beta Club Sponsor for 13 years.

She has presented at Spartanburg Writing Project's Fall Renewal symposium and SC CERRA Symposium for New Teachers in 2016. Kim was selected as SC Jr. Beta Club Sponsor of the Year in 2010, and nominated for BSMS Teacher of the Year in 2013 and 2015.
