I am 38 years of age and I have been writing poetry since I was 17 although I wrote my first poem at the age of 10. I was diagnosed with schizophrenia at the age of 19 and obviously this affected my mental life so my poetry would be dealing with schizophrenia a lot and also religion and faith as I am one of those crazies who is obsessed with the Universe!
However, most of my poetry is about Love and especially True Love which I am a firm believer in. I like to think my poetry deals with many issues. Mairéad Meade |
