I was born in a Southern African Country called Zimbabwe, to immigrant parents who migrated from Mocambique in search of a better life.Ironically, I also find myself an Immigrant in search of a better life in the United States of America where I reside with my family.

From a tender age, I believed I could do a lot of things, including among other things, write short stories, poems, songs.I even tried my hand at drawing.I developed a love for reading at a very early age. Anything I could lay my hands on, I would sit down and go through it while collecting expressions and building my vocabulary.I remember at one time reading a book that was 1200 pages long while in grade 6!My friends thought I was crazy but several months later i finished it to my delight.Another conquest!! I also remember reading two books at the same time, in a competition with a friend.

Then I wrote my first poem, which was titled " People are People" which became an instant hit at high school!Boy was I elated!That was just the fuel I needed to get myself going to the next project, because at that moment my faith was catapulted to the next level where I strongly believed I could write something that could capture people's attention.I started writing a play ( I belonged to a drama group) after writing a few scenes, I wanted to hear a friend's critic, so I showed him what I had written. He instantly got excited and asked to take the work to his uncle who worked at a bookstore for more ideas.I did not realize that it was going to be the last I would see of both the poem and the play!

Since I did not have copies of both works, that was that! I had to work on something else.In 1994 I had a dream in which someone was showing me to play a few chords on the Piano as well as write a song.As soon as I woke up I went to a nearby recording studio where I went to try to recapture my dream.Ladies and gentlemen 30 minutes later I had the complete song and chord combinations written down and was able to play the song too.I remember spending the whole day in that studio, behind that piano. I just could not leave! That's how the song " My Soul" came to be!

I have had "crazy inspirations" over the years which I would like to share with you in this book.I hope you enjoy reading them!
