Doreene McCoy, born June 7, 1923, was a child of the depression era. She is an adventurer, author, story teller, and an activist. But mostly she is a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend. She has dug ditches, worked as a waitress one day, skydived at 90 years old. She says she has seen some very lean Christmases but they were all happy.
