Maria Nastasi grew up in a small town in Central New York. She has always had a love for animals, especially dogs. Although there were few pets allowed in her house she looked forward to going to her friends homes to see their pets. It was obvious to her that the love between an owner and their pet is a unique kind of love.

As a child she filled her days with reading and writing about htings she experienced. As she grew older she realized that her first passion was working with children and went to college to become a teacher. It was her delight when she learned she would combine her passions of writing and helping children. Chevy and Me is her first written book.
