Ruth Riddle is a veteran science teacher of 22 years with most of them taught in Pitt County, North Carolina. Ms. Riddle has always felt students learn by doing and thinking about what they do. She feels it is an honor to facilitate the creative genius in these youth. She is also passionate about getting students back to nature and out doors. So many of these youth are literal Techno-couch potatoes and never venture out to explore their world outside of their iphones and androids. This collaboration is a first attempt to see how young people their relationship toward Planet Earth and their idea of stewardship. Are they forever going to be spectators or will they become part of the solution? Let's hope this is a giant leap forward for us all.
