Saralydia Coleman Campbell grew up all over Washington State. Even as a young child, she enjoyed writing stories which she kept in her journals. In 2002, her sister had a baby girl, Maggie Moore. Saralydia lived with her sister and Maggie for a year, and throughout that year was asked several times by her niece to tell stores. This story about Kat the Kitty was written, dedicated to Maggie.
