Sandra Jones Brittain was born while living in McAdenville, NC in 1948 to Posey Garfield Jones and Evelyn Barnes Jones. She graduated from the 8th grade at McAdenville School in 1962 and graduated from Holbrook High School in 1966. While in the 11th and 12th grades she worked in the Mill at Pharr Yarns. Upon graduation from High School she worked in the main office until 1972 when she moved to Mount Airy, NC. In 1976, Sandra returned to her grass roots close to her original hometown of McAdenvile, NC. In 2010 Sandra authored "McAdenville Memories" which is a 933 page book about her life while growing up in McAdenville. She currently resides in Mount Holly, NC.
