In 1999, Shannon Stocker had just completed medical school and was looking forward to a career in pediatrics when she was derailed due to her own life-threatening illness. Seven years and one coma later, she became a mother of two miraculous children and eventually decided to turn to her childhood dream of writing books to help children realize what matters most in life - them.
