Leslie Isseth Cano, born on May 4, 1994 to Willy Cano and Karla Valenzuela-Cano, is a native Californian who grew up in the quiet city of Whittier. Ever the optimist, she has always been a hopeless romantic and sees life and the world around her through the rosiest colored glasses imaginable. These days, she channels her zest for life and all of the beauty and wonder she percieves into her writing. Along with being a committed writer, she also devotes herself to her studies, the students she mentors, her faith and her family. When she has free time and isn't putting pen to paper, she is often found with a book in her hands; usually one that tells the tale of a romance long extinguished, a current, passionate love, or a story centered around her absolute favorite creatures of the night: vamoires. She also enjoys music and is a self-described Audrey Hepburn fanatic. Imbues with a passion for helping others, shee also helps down at the food bank for her church and participates in marathons whose proceeds go towards helping victims of domestic violence. On that same note of alruism, she one day hopes to make a significant, lasting change in the world and to be able to travel to several developing nations to lend whatever support she can.
