This summer, I did a Bible study with Middle school girls. I knew my daughter and her friends were struggling with the entire middle school process; the drama, the way too mature conversations, competition, popularity... all of it! I wanted to provide them with tools to overcome the stresses, a support group with each other, a standard to live by and how to lead by example and not get wrapped up in the never ending drama.
In addition, I wanted to help take the emphasis off of themselves and learn to serve others. I wanted them to take notice of others' needs and learn to have a positive impact on the world around them. I wanted them to learn that helping others always brings a joy that overshadows any of the stress that overwhelms.
I pray that through all I have had them do, they have learned above all, that even in the darkest moments, there is always something to be thankful for. God is always there for them. Jesus is a Savior to savor.

Hailey, Hailie, Victoria, and Kyla. They are 7th grade Middle School students, struggling through the drama and chaos that Middle school often brings to upcoming teens. Learning about God, learning what Jesus offers them, and learning to serve others is becoming a beacon of light for them. They are all special in the eyes of the Lord and are beautifully and wonderfully made; perfect in His image.
They have lots to be thankful for and are learning to focus on that and not the struggles they face. They are eager to please and learning that pleasing God is the most important part of their lives.
