About Author
Mark S. Hall grew up in the Western Kansas community of Quinter, in Gove County. Quinter was easily the largest town in the county--population 950 (if you counted the dogs). It was a great place for kids to rampage about town, exploring every nook and cranny on their bikes, without a thought of danger. It was also a great place to learn stuff in Dad's drug store (soda jerk, cashier, pill counter). Outside the pharmacy, job opportunities included being a paperboy, construction worker, gas company employee, farmworker, etc. Entertainment included baseball, golf, tennis, football...In other words, no electronic devices. He enjoyed Kansas State University (sometimes too much), married his high school sweetheart Colleen, and finally obtained a master's degree in counseling. After two years of required teaching in Logan, Kansas, he spent the next four years in Sterling Kansas as a high school guidance counselor.
