About Author
My grandmother was a school teacher and she wrote poetry as a hobby. She published a little poem book and titled it "Along the Way", in the mid 50's. I decided to try my hand at writing poetry around 1990. I compiled almost 300 poems over time and eventually put some of them together and made a book by following instructions that I gathered from the internet. I titled my poem book "Along Life's Way". I had always wanted to write a children's book. So, one day I was reading over my list of poems and came across "Old Rover and Me". That is when I decided to arrange it in a book format. I enlisted the help of a talented illustrator, Irana Nasrin, to work on the illustrations for the book. After the illustrations were completed, the book came to life! Irana did a fantastic job! I hope the story brings a smile to your face and is as enjoyable to read as it was for me to create!
