Fifteen year-old Sofi Rohler is taken from the parking lot of Owl Creek High School on a crisp fall day, drugged and taken to a mysterious forest compound run by the nefarious United Antarctic Alliance, controlled by a corrupt Latvian genius and his foot soldiers. She soon encounters three tribes of feral humans while trapped in the compound with Nicholas and Bethany. The three confused captives soon begin to explore the facility, and the deeper they look, the more complicated the UAA's scheme appears, taking them beyond their wildest imagination and leading them to explore what it means to be human. Where it all ends will surprise you and test your own assumptions about the connection between emotion, fear, power and friendship.
